Let Dan be a snake in the way, a serpent in the path, that biteth the horse's heels that his rider may fall backward.

Of Dan also, twenty-eight thousand six hundred prepared for battle.

Dan shall judge his people like another tribe in Israel.

I will look for thy salvation, O Lord.

But in the end, it will bite like a snake, and will spread abroad poison like a basilisk.

If a serpent bite in silence, he is nothing better that backbiteth secretly.
