So Jeremias went into the house of the prison and into the dungeon: and Jeremias remained there many days.

But this is a people that is robbed and wasted. They are all the snare of young men, and they are hid in the houses of prisons. They are made a prey, and there is none to deliver them; a spoil, and there is none that saith: Restore.

That thou mightest open the eyes of the blind, and bring forth the prisoner out of prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.

Sending to his father as much money and raiment, adding besides ten he-asses to carry off all the riches of Egypt, and as many she-asses, carrying wheat and bread for the journey.

But they having loaded their asses with the corn, went their way.

And the famine increased daily in all the land. And Joseph opened all the barns, and sold to the Egyptians: for the famine had oppressed them also.

He sent them to the prison of the commander of the soldiers, in which Joseph also was prisoner,

We are all the sons of one man: we are come as peaceable men; neither do thy servants go about any evil.

And the third day he brought them out of prison, and said: Do as I have said, and you shall live; for I fear God.

And bring your youngest brother to me, that I may find your words to be true, and you may not die. And they did as he had said.

And he said to us: Hereby shall I know that you are peaceable men; Leave one of your brethren with me, and take ye necessary provision for your houses, and go your ways.
