Giving his daughter a handmaid, named Zalpha. Now when Jacob had gone in to her according to custom, when morning was come he saw it was Lia:
Now Sarai, the wife of Abram, had brought forth no children; but having a handmaid, an Egyptian, named Agar,
These are the sons of Zelpha, whom Laban gave to Lia his daughter. And these she bore to Jacob, sixteen souls.
So they sent her away, and her nurse, and Abraham's servant, and his company,
And at night he brought in Lia, his daughter, to him,
And he said to his father-in-law: What is it that thou didst mean to do? did not I serve thee for Rachel? Why hast thou deceived me?
The sons of Zelpha, Lia's handmaid: Gad and Aser. These are the sons of Jacob, that were born to him in Mesopotamia of Syria.
