Genesis 24:40

The Lord, said he, in whose sight I walk, will send his angel with thee, and will direct thy way. And thou shalt take a wife for my son of my own kindred, and of my father's house.

Behold, I will send my angel, who shall go before thee, and keep thee in thy journey: and bring thee into the place that I have prepared.

The Lord God of heaven, who took me out of my father's house, and out of my native country, who spoke to me, and swore to me, saying: To thy seed will I give this land; he will send his angel before thee, and thou shalt take from thence a wife for my son.

These are the generations of Noe. Noe was a just and perfect man in his generations; he walked with God.

And Henoch walked with God: and lived after he begot Mathusala, three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.

And I, John, who have heard and seen these things. And after I had heard and seen, I fell down to adore before the feet of the angel, who shewed me these things.

And keep the charge of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and observe his ceremonies, and his precepts, and judgments, and testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses: that thou mayest understand all thou dost, and whithersoever thou shalt turn thyself.

Stay me not, said he, because the Lord hath prospered my way: send me away, that I may go to my master.

And Solomon said: Thou hast shewn great mercy to thy servant David my father, even as he walked before thee in truth, and justice, and an upright heart with thee; and thou hast kept thy great mercy for him, and hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.
