So Abram went out as the Lord had commanded him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he went forth from Haran.

By faith he that is called Abraham, obeyed to go out into a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

And Thare took Abram, his son, and Lot the son of Aran, his son's son, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, the wife of Abram his son; and brought them out of Ur of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Chanaan. And they came as far as Haran, and dwelt there.

And these are the generations of Thare: Thare begot Abram, Nachor, and Aran. And Aran begot Lot.

And so patiently enduring he obtained the promise.

And the days of Abraham's life were a hundred and seventy-five years.

But Jacob, being departed from Bersabee, went on to Haran.

But Lot also, who was with Abram, had flocks of sheep, and herds of beasts, and tents.
