And they shall feed the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nemrod with the spears thereof: and he shall deliver us from the Assyrian, when he shall come into our land, and when he shall tread in our borders.

Arise, and go to Ninive the great city, and preach in it: for the wickedness thereof is come up before me.

And it shall come to pass that every one that shall see thee, shall flee from thee, and shall say: Ninive is laid waste: who shall bemoan thee? whence shall I seek a comforter for thee?

And as for Ninive, her waters are like a great pool, but the men flee away. They cry: Stand, stand, but there is none that will return back.

Take with you words, and return to the Lord, and say to him: Take away all iniquity, and receive the good: and we will render the calves of our lips.

Assur is there, and all his multitude: their graves are round about him, all of them slain, and that fell by the sword.

Haran and Chene and Eden were thy merchants; Saba, Assur and Chelmad sold to thee.

And Sennacherib the king of the Assyrians went out and departed; and returned and dwelt in Ninive.

And they came to Zorobabel, and the chief of the fathers, and said to them: Let us build with you, for we seek your God as ye do. Behold, we have sacrificed to him, since the days of Asor Haddan king of Assyria, who brought us hither.

And Sennacherib king of the Assyrians departing went away. And he returned and abode in Ninive.

They shall come in galleys from Italy: they shall overcome the Assyrians, and shall waste the Hebrews: and at the last they themselves also shall perish.

And thou be chosen of the stock of Cin, how long shalt thou be able to continue? For Assur shall take thee captive.

Resen also between Ninive and Chale: this is the great city.
