Now very shortly I will pour out my wrath upon thee and I will accomplish my anger in thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways and I will lay upon thee all thy crimes.

And the slaughter being ended, I was left: and I fell upon my face, and crying I said: Alas, alas, alas, O Lord God, wilt thou then destroy all the remnant of Israel by pouring out thy fury upon Jerusalem?

Who can stand before the face of his indignation? and who shall resist in the fierceness of his anger? his indignation is poured out like fire: and the rocks are melted by him.

But their children provoked me, they walked not in my commandments nor observed my judgments to do them, which if a man do, he shall live in them: and they violated my sabbaths. And I threatened to pour out my indignation upon them and to accomplish my wrath in them in the desert.

But they provoked me and would not hearken to me: they did not every man cast away the abominations of his eyes, neither did they forsake the idols of Egypt. And I said I would pour out my indignation upon them and accomplish my wrath against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.

And he hath poured out upon him the indignation of his fury, and a strong battle: and hath burnt him round about, and he knew not: and set him on fire, and he understood not.

As I live, saith the Lord God, I will reign over you with a strong hand and with a stretched out arm and with fury poured out.

But the house of Israel provoked me in the desert: they walked not in my statutes and they cast away my judgments, which if a man do he shall live in them, and they grievously violated my sabbaths. I said therefore that I would pour out my indignation upon them in the desert and would consume them.

He also shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mingled with pure wine in the cup of his wrath, and shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the sight of the holy angels, and in the sight of the Lamb.

The princes of Juda are become as they that take up the bound: I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.

And I will pour out my indignation upon Pelusium the strength of Egypt, and will cut off the multitude of Alexandria.

And I poured out my indignation upon them: in the fire of my wrath I consumed them. I have rendered their way upon their own head, saith the Lord God.

He that is far off shall die of the pestilence: and he that is near shall fall by the sword: and he that remaineth and is besieged shall die by the famine: and I will accomplish my indignation upon them.

How long wilt thou feed us with the bread of tears: and give us for our drink tears in measure?

Go, and pray to the Lord for me, and for the remnant of Israel, and Juda, concerning all the words of this book, which is found. For the great wrath of the Lord hath fallen upon us, because our fathers have not kept the words of the Lord, to do all things that are written in this book.

Ain. The Lord hath done that which he purposed, he hath fulfilled his word, which he commanded in the days of old: he hath destroyed and hath not spared, and he hath caused the enemy to rejoice over thee and hath set up the horn of thy adversaries.

And my eye shall not spare, neither will I shew mercy: but I will lay thy ways upon thee, and thy abominations shall be in the midst of thee. And you shall know that I am the Lord that strike.

And you say: The way of the Lord is not right, I will judge every one of you according to his ways, O house of Israel.

And I will punish him and his seed and his servants, for their iniquities: and I will bring upon them and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem and upon the men of Juda all the evil that I have pronounced against them, but they have not heard.

The king shall mourn and the prince shall be clothed with sorrow and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled. I will do to them according to their way and will judge them according to their judgments: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

Therefore neither shall my eye spare nor will I have pity: I will requite their way upon their head.

But as for them whose heart walketh after their scandals and abominations, I will lay their way upon their head, saith the Lord God.

Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast provoked me in all these things: wherefore I also have turned thy ways upon thy head, saith the Lord God, and I have not done according to thy wicked deeds in all thy abominations.

For thus saith the Lord God: I will deal with thee as thou hast despised the oath, in breaking the covenant:

Therefore will I judge every man according to his ways, O house of Israel, saith the Lord God. Be converted, and do penance for all your iniquities: and iniquity shall not be your ruin.

I, the Lord have spoken. It shall come to pass, and I will do it: I will not pass by, nor spare, nor be pacified. I will judge thee according to thy ways and according to thy doings, saith the Lord.

In the womb he supplanted his brother: and by his strength he had success with an angel.
