And he said: What seest thou, Amos? And I said: A hook to draw down fruit. And the Lord said to me: The end is come upon my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more.

But the end of all is at hand. Be prudent therefore, and watch in prayers.

And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation: and I will bring up sackcloth upon every back of yours, and baldness upon every head: and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the latter end thereof as a bitter day.

Now is an end come upon thee. And I will send my wrath upon thee and I will judge thee according to thy ways: and I will set all thy abominations against thee.

And it came to pass when I prophesied, that Pheltias the son of Banaias died: and I fell down upon my face and cried with a loud voice and said: Alas, alas, alas, O Lord God: Wilt thou make an end of all the remnant of Israel?

Sade. Our steps have slipped in the way of our streets, our end draweth near: our days are fulfilled, for our end is come.

And you shall hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that ye be not troubled. For these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

In the visions of God he brought me into the land of Israel, and set me upon a very high mountain: upon which there was as the building of a city, bending towards the south.

Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and let thy speech flow towards the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel:

Son of man, what is this proverb that you have in the land of Israel? saying: The days shall be prolonged, and every vision shall fail.

Teth. Her filthiness is on her feet and she hath not remembered her end: she is wonderfully cast down, not having a comforter. Behold, O Lord, my affliction, because the enemy is lifted up.

O thou that dwellest upon many waters, rich in treasures, thy end is come for thy entire destruction.

The prophets prophesied falsehood, and the priests clapped their hands: and my people loved such things. What then shall be done in the end thereof?

And when he had destroyed the altars, and the groves, and had broken the idols in pieces, and had demolished all profane temples throughout all the land of Israel, he returned to Jerusalem.

And he said: I will hide my face from them, and will consider what their last end shall be. For it is a perverse generation, and unfaithful children.

He said to Noe: The end of all flesh is come before me; the earth is filled with iniquity through them; and I will destroy them with the earth.

After these things, I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that they should not blow upon the earth, nor upon the sea, nor on any tree.

And they came upon the breadth of the earth, and encompassed the camp of the saints, and the beloved city.

And thou hast said: I shall be a lady for ever. Thou hast not laid these things to thy heart, neither hast thou remembered thy latter end.

How long shall the land mourn and the herb of every field wither for the wickedness of them that dwell therein? The beasts and the birds are consumed: because they have said: He shall not see our last end.

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying:

And forasmuch as I have cut off in thee the just and the wicked, therefore shall my sword go forth out of its sheath against all flesh, from the south even to the north.

But thou profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, that hath been appointed in the time of iniquity:

Because thou hast been an everlasting enemy, and hast shut up the children of Israel in the hands of the sword in the time of their affliction, in the time of their last iniquity.

Ah, ah, ah, for the day: because the day of the Lord is at hand, and it shall come like destruction from the mighty.

And when they shall say to thee: Why mournest thou? Thou shalt say: For that which I hear: because it cometh, and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be made feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and water shall run down every knee. Behold, it cometh, and it shall be done, saith the Lord God.
