And every one had four faces: one face was the face of a cherub: and the second face, the face of a man: and in the third was the face of a lion: and in the fourth the face of an eagle.
Upon it stood the seraphims: the one had six wings, and the other had six wings: with two they covered his face, and with two they covered his feet, and with two they flew.
Let them cover both sides of the propitiatory, spreading their wings, and covering the oracle: and let them look one towards the other, their faces being turned towards the propitiatory wherewith the ark is to be covered.
And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other. Every one with two wings covered his body, and the other was covered in like manner.
