And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God, who hath power over these plagues, neither did they penance to give him glory.
In thy sight are all they that afflict me; my heart hath expected reproach and misery. And I looked for one that would grieve together with me, but there was none: and for one that would comfort me, and I found none.
After these things Moses and Aaron went in, and said to Pharao: Thus saith the Lord God of Israel: Let my people go that they may sacrifice to me in the desert.
And the Lord said to Moses: Arise in the morning, and stand before Pharao. And thou shalt say to him: Thus saith the Lord the God of the Hebrews: Let my people go to sacrifice to me.
