And the Lord said to him as he was returning into Egypt: See that thou do all the wonders before Pharao, which I have put in thy hand. I shall harden his heart, and he will not let the people go.
But according to thy hardness and impenitent heart, thou treasurest up to thyself wrath, against the day of wrath, and revelation of the just judgment of God.
Why hast thou made us to err, O Lord, from thy ways. Why hast thou hardened our heart, that we should not fear thee? Return for the sake of thy servants, the tribes of thy inheritance.
But Pharao called Moses and Aaron, and said to them: Pray ye to the Lord to take away the frogs from me and from my people; and I will let the people go to sacrifice to the Lord.
And he did according to his word: and he took away the flies from Pharao, and from his servants, and from his people. There was not left so much as one.
And Pharao sent to see: and there was not any thing dead of that which Israel possessed. And Pharao's heart was hardened, and he did not let the people go.
