That he may raise thee up a people to himself, and he may be thy God: as he hath spoken to thee, and as he swore to thy fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Because thou art a holy people to the Lord thy God. The Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be his peculiar people of all peoples that are upon the earth.

But the Lord hath taken you and brought you out of the iron furnace of Egypt, to make you his people of inheritance, as it is this present day.

He that shall overcome shall possess these things, and I will be his God; and he shall be my son.

And the Lord hath chosen thee this day, to be his peculiar people, as he hath spoken to thee, and to keep all his commandments:

Because thou art a holy people to the Lord thy God: and he chose thee to be his peculiar people of all nations that are upon the earth.

And I heard a great voice from the throne, saying: Behold the tabernacle of God with men, and he will dwell with them. And they shall be his people; and God himself with them shall be their God.

Who in time past were not a people: but are now the people of God. Who had not obtained mercy; but now have obtained mercy.

But now they desire a better, that is to say, a heavenly country. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God; for he hath prepared for them a city.

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who is against us?

I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living.

And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined: and I will try them as gold is tried. They shall call on my name, and I will hear them. I will say: Thou art my people: and they shall say: The Lord is my God.

And the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, that is without measure, and shall not be numbered. And it shall be in the place where it shall be said to them: You are not my people: it shall be said to them: Ye are the sons of the living God.

But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord: I will give my law in their bowels and I will write it in their heart: and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

That they may see and know, and consider, and understand together that the hand of the Lord hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it.

I have said: You are gods and all of you the sons of the most High.

I have heard the murmuring of the children of Israel. Say to them: In the evening you shall eat flesh, and in the morning you shall have your fill of bread. And you shall know that I am the Lord your God.

Therefore say to the children of Israel: I am the Lord who will bring you out from the work prison of the Egyptians; and will deliver you from bondage, and redeem you with a high arm, and great judgments.

In those days after Moses was grown up, he went out to his brethren: and saw their affliction, and an Egyptian striking one of the Hebrews his brethren.

And Moses and Aaron said to the children of Israel: In the evening you shall know that the Lord hath brought you forth out of the land of Egypt:

For I am the Lord your God. Be holy because I am holy. Defile not your souls by any creeping thing, that moveth upon the earth.

For I am the Lord, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that I might be your God.

And kings shall be thy nursing fathers, and queens thy nurses. They shall worship thee with their face toward the earth: and they shall lick up the dust of thy feet. And thou shalt know that I am the Lord: for they shall not be confounded that wait for him.

And I will feed thy enemies with their own flesh: and they shall be made drunk with their own blood, as with new wine. And all flesh shall know that I am the Lord that save thee, and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

And thou shalt suck the milk of the Gentiles: and thou shalt be nursed with the breasts of kings. And thou shalt know that I am the Lord thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.

And he said: Surely they are my people, children that will not deny. So he became their saviour.

And you shall be my people: and I will be your God.

I am the Lord your God: Walk ye in my statutes, and observe my judgments and do them.

And sojourn in it, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee: for to thee and to thy seed I will give all these countries, to fulfill the oath which I swore to Abraham thy father.

And the Lord, leaning upon the ladder, saying to him: I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac. The land, wherein thou sleepest, I will give to thee and to thy seed.

Thus therefore saith the Lord: In this thou shalt know that I am the Lord. Behold, I will strike with the rods: that is in my hand, the water of the river, and it shall be turned into blood.

And Moses said to the people: Remember this day in which you came forth out of Egypt, and out of the house of bondage, for with a strong hand hath the Lord brought you forth out of this place: that you eat no leavened bread.

And when thy son shall ask thee tomorrow, saying: What is this? Thou shalt answer him: With a strong hand did the Lord bring us forth out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

And I shall harden his heart, and he will pursue you; and I shall be glorified in Pharao, and in all his army: and the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord. And they did so.

And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord: when I shall be glorified in Pharao, and in his chariots and in his horsemen.

The Lord is my strength and my praise: and he is become salvation to me. He is my God and I will glorify him: the God of my father, and I will exalt him.

Let fear and dread fall upon them, in the greatness of thy arm; let them become unmoveable as a stone, until thy people, O Lord, pass by: until this thy people pass by, which thou hast possessed.

I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that I might be your God.

He hath brought you forty years through the desert. Your garments are not worn out, neither are the shoes of your feet consumed with age.

That thou mayst pass in the covenant of the Lord thy God, and in the oath which this day the Lord thy God maketh with thee.

That all the people of the earth may know, that the Lord he is God, and there is no other besides him.

(And a man of God coming said to the king of Israel: Thus saith the Lord: Because the Syrians have said: The Lord is God of the hills, but is not God of the valleys: I will deliver all this great multitude into thy hand and you shall know that I am the Lord.)

And these are thy servants, and thy people: whom thou hast redeemed by thy great strength, and by thy mighty hand.

I did not set before my eyes any unjust thing: I hated the workers of iniquities.

But I am the Lord thy God, who trouble the sea, and the waves thereof swell. The Lord of hosts is my name.
