And Aaron shall burn sweet-smelling incense upon it in the morning. When he shall dress the lamps, he shall burn it.

So do with me: that I may build a house to the name of the Lord my God, to dedicate it to burn incense before him, and to perfume with aromatical spices, and for the continual setting forth of bread, and for the holocausts, morning and evening, and on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and the solemnities of the Lord our God for ever, which are commanded for Israel.

He compounded also the oil for the ointment of sanctification, and incense of the purest spices, according to the work of a perfumer.

And oil to maintain lights, and to make ointment, and most sweet incense:

The oil of unction, and the incense of spices in the sanctuary. All things which I have commanded thee, shall they make.

And thou shalt overlay it with the purest gold, as well as the grate thereof, as the walls round about and the horns. And thou shalt make to it a crown of gold round about.

Oil to make lights: spices for ointment, and for sweet-smelling incense:

The altar of gold, and the ointment, and the incense of spices:

The altar of brass, the grate, the bars, and all the vessels thereof: the laver with the foot thereof: the hangings of the court, and the pillars with their sockets:

Thou shalt make also an altar to burn incense, of setim wood.

And the Lord spoke to Moses,
