And rend your hearts, and not your garments, and turn to the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, patient and rich in mercy, and ready to repent of the evil.

the Lord enlighteneth the blind. The Lord lifteth up them that are cast down: the Lord loveth the just.

And they would not hear, and they remembered not thy wonders which thou hadst done for them. And they hardened their necks, and gave the head to return to their bondage, as it were by contention. But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, for I am the Lord that exercise mercy and judgment and justice in the earth: for these things please me, saith the Lord.

Thou shewest mercy unto thousands and returnest the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them. O most mighty, great, and powerful: the Lord of hosts is thy name.

The Lord is patient, and great in power, and will not cleanse and acquit the guilty. The Lord's ways are in a tempest, and a whirlwind, and clouds are the dust of his feet.

Saying: Blessed be the Lord God of my master Abraham, who hath not taken away his mercy and truth from my master, and hath brought me the straight way into the house of my master's brother.

For I speak to him mouth to mouth, and plainly: and not by riddles and figures doth he see the Lord. Why then were you not afraid to speak ill of my servant Moses?

And David said to Gad: I am in a great strait: but it is better that I should fall into the hands of the Lord (for his mercies are many) than into the hands of men.

Let not mercy and truth leave thee, put them about thy neck, and write them in the tables of thy heart:
