Go, gather together the ancients of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath appeared to me, saying: Visiting I have visited you, and I have seen all that hath befallen you in Egypt.

For I will behold thy heavens, the works of thy fingers: the moon and the stars which thou hast founded.

And the people believed. And they heard that the Lord had visited the children of Israel: and that he had looked upon their affliction. And falling down they adored.

So Jethro the kinsman of Moses offered holocausts and sacrifices to God: and Aaron and all the ancients of Israel came, to eat bread with them before God.

And the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he saw that the bush was on fire and was not burnt.

And the Lord, leaning upon the ladder, saying to him: I am the Lord God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac. The land, wherein thou sleepest, I will give to thee and to thy seed.

And Jacob blessed the sons of Joseph, and said: God, in whose sight my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, God that feedeth me from my youth until this day:

And he said: I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Moses hid his face: for he durst not look at God.

Moses answered and said: They will not believe me, nor hear my voice. But they will say: The Lord hath not appeared to thee.

And the Lord said to Moses: go before the people, and take with thee of the ancients of Israel. And take in thy hand the rod wherewith thou didst strike the river, and go.

The just cried, and the Lord heard them: and delivered them out of all their troubles.

In the mean time there arose a new king over Egypt, that knew not Joseph.

Bless the Lord, all ye his hosts: you ministers of his that do his will.
