Now in the ark there was nothing else but the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the Lord made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.
Having a golden censer, and the ark of the testament covered about on every part with gold, in which was a golden pot that had manna, and the rod of Aaron, that had blossomed, and the tables of the testament.
The tabernacle of the testimony was with our fathers in the desert, as God ordained for them, speaking to Moses, that he should make it according to the form which he had seen.
And he brought forth the king's son, and put the diadem upon him, and the testimony. And they made him king, and anointed him. And clapping their hands, they said, God save the king.
These are the instruments of the tabernacle of the testimony, which were counted according to the commandment of Moses, in the ceremonies of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar son of Aaron, the priest:
And when Moses came down from the mount Sinai, he held the two tables of the testimony: and he knew not that his face was horned from the conversation of the Lord.
And when thou has beaten all into very small powder, thou shalt set of it before the tabernacle of the testimony, in the place where I will appear to thee. Most holy shall this incense be to you.
And thou shalt set the altar over against the veil, that hangeth before the ark of the testimony before the propitiatory wherewith the testimony is covered, where I will speak to thee.
In the tabernacle of the testimony without the veil that hangs before the testimony, And Aaron and his sons shall order it, that it may give light before the Lord until the morning. It shall be a perpetual observance throughout their successions among the children of Israel.
And the veils shall be hanged on with rings: and within it thou shalt put the ark of the testimony. And the sanctuary, and the holy of holies shall be divided with it.
And they brought out the king's son, and put the crown upon him, and the testimony, and gave him the law to hold in his hand. And they made him king: and Joiada the high priest and his sons anointed him. And they prayed for him, and said: God save the king.
