So Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord, and all the judgments. And all the people answered with one voice: We will do all the words of the Lord, which he hath spoken.

And all the people answered together: All that the Lord hath spoken, we will do. And when Moses had related the people's words to the Lord,

And taking the book of the covenant, he read it in the hearing of the people: and they said: All things that the Lord hath spoken we will do. We will be obedient.

And Josue said to the people: You are witnesses, that you yourselves have chosen you the Lord to serve him. And they answered: We are witnesses.

These are the precepts, and ceremonies, and judgments, which the Lord your God commanded that I should teach you: and that you should do them in the land into which you pass over to possess it:

And Moses called all Israel, and said to them: Hear, O Israel, the ceremonies and judgments, which I speak in your ears this day. Learn them, and fulfil them in work.

And these are the testimonies and ceremonies and judgments, which he spoke to the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt:

You know that I have taught you statutes and justices, as the Lord my God hath commanded me: so shall you do them in the land which you shall possess.

And now, O Israel, hear the commandments and judgments which I teach thee that doing them thou mayst live, and entering in mayst possess the land which the Lord the God of your fathers will give you.

Therefore, love the Lord thy God and observe his precepts and ceremonies, his judgments and commandments at all times.

But stand thou here with me: and I will speak to thee all my commandments, and ceremonies and judgments. Which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the land, which I will give them for a possession.

And Moses alone shall come up to the Lord; but they shall not come nigh: neither shall the people come up with him.

And the people said to Josue: We will serve the Lord our God: and we will be obedient to his commandments.

Which I commanded your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, from the iron furnace, saying: Hear ye my voice and do all things that I command you: and you shall be my people, and I will be your God:

Thus saith the Lord the God of Israel: I made a covenant with your fathers in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage, saying:

Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us? why then doth every one of us despise his brother, violating the covenant of our fathers?

And the people said to Josue: No. It shall not be so as thou sayest, but we will serve the Lord.

And they swore to the Lord with a loud voice with joyful shouting, and with sound of trumpet, and sound of cornets:

All that mere in Juda with a curse. For with all their heart they swore, and with all their will they sought him, and they found him; and the Lord gave them rest round about.

For I know my iniquity, and my sin is always before me.

Yet now take courage, O Zorobabel, saith the Lord, and take courage, O Jesus the son of Josedec the high priest, and take courage, all ye people of the land, saith the Lord of hosts: and perform (for I am with you, saith the Lord of hosts)
