And I will set thy bounds from the Red Sea to the sea of the Palestines: and from the desert to the river. I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hands: and will drive them out from before you.

That day God made a covenant with Abram, saying: To thy seed will I give this land, from the river of Egypt even to the great river Euphrates.

Every place, that your foot shall tread upon, shall be yours. From the desert, and from Libanus, from the great river Euphrates unto the western sea shall be your borders.

From the desert and from Libanus unto the great river Euphrates: all the land of the Hethites unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun shall be your border.

And he hath cast out all the nations, the Amorrhite, the inhabitant of the land into which we are come. Therefore we will serve the Lord, for he is our God.

They have thought and spoken wickedness: they have spoken iniquity on high.

For he had all the country which was beyond the river, from Thaphsa to Gazan, and all the kings of those countries. And he had peace on every side round about.

And the Lord delivered him with all his army into the hands of Israel. And he slew him, and possessed all the land of the Amorrhite the inhabitant of that country,

And Juda went up, and the Lord delivered the Chanaanite, and the Pherezite into their hands: and they slew of them in Bezec ten thousand men.

And behold a prophet coming to Achab king of Israel said to him: Thus saith the Lord: Hast thou seen all this exceeding great multitude? Behold, I will deliver them into thy hand this day: that thou mayest know that I am the Lord.

And Solomon had under him all the kingdoms from the river to the land of the Philistines, even to the border of Egypt: and they brought him presents, and served him, all the days of his life.

Therefore David consulted the Lord again. And he answered and said to him: Arise, and go to Ceila: for I will deliver the Philistines into thy hand.

And I sent before you hornets: and I drove them out from their places, the two kings of the Amorrhites, not with thy sword nor with thy bow.

And I brought you into the land of the Amorrhite, who dwelt beyond the Jordan. And when they fought against you, I delivered them into your hands: and you possessed their land, and slew them.

Behold this day I am going into the way of all the earth: and you shall know with all your mind that of all the words which the Lord promised to perform for you, not one hath failed.

And stay you not, but pursue after the enemies: and kill all the hindermost of them as they flee, and do not suffer them whom the Lord God hath delivered into your hands to shelter themselves in their cities.

And the Lord said to Josue: Fear them not: for I have delivered them into thy hands. None of them shall be able to stand against thee.

The Lord said to Josue: Lift up the shield that is in thy hand, towards the city of Hai, for I will deliver it to thee.

And whilst we are fleeing, and they pursuing, you shall arise out of the ambush, and shall destroy the city. And the Lord your God will deliver it into our hands.

And the Lord said to me: Fear him not: because he is delivered into thy hand, with all his people and his land. And thou shalt do to him as thou hast done to Sehon king of the Amorrhites, that dwelt in Hesebon.

And the Lord said to Moses: Fear him not, for I have delivered him and all his people, and his country into thy hand. And thou shalt do to him as thou didst to Sehon the king of the Amorrhites, the inhabitant of Hesebon.

Turn you, and come to the mountain of the Amorrhites, and to the other places that are next to it: the plains and the hills and the vales towards the south, and by the sea shore: the land of the Chanaanites, and of Libanus, as far as the great river Euphrates.

Behold, said he, I have delivered it to you: go in and possess it, concerning which the Lord swore to your fathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, that he would give it to them, and to their seed after them.

And the Lord our God delivered him to us: and we slew him with his sons and all his people.

From Aroer, which is upon the bank of the torrent Arnon, a town that is situate in a valley, as far as Galaad. There was not a village or city, that escaped our hands: the Lord our God delivered all unto us:

Thou shalt know therefore this day that the Lord thy God himself will pass over before thee, a devouring and consuming fire, to destroy and extirpate and bring them to nothing before thy face quickly, as he hath spoken to thee.

But of those cities that shall be given thee thou shalt suffer none at all to live:

And you passed over the Jordan, and you came to Jericho. And the men of that city fought against you, the Amorrhite, and the Pherezite, and the Chanaanite, and the Hethite, and the Gergesite, and the Hevite, and the Jebusite: and I delivered them into your hands.

And Solomon made at the same time a solemn feast, and all Israel with him: a great multitude from the entrance of Emath to the river of Egypt, before the Lord our God, seven days and seven days, that is, fourteen days.

Of the nations concerning which the Lord said to the children of Israel: You shall not go in unto them, neither shall any of them come in to yours; for they will most certainly turn away your heart to follow their gods. And to these was Solomon joined with a most ardent love.

Command the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: When you are entered into the land of Chanaan, and it shall be fallen into your possession by lot, it shall be bounded by these limits.

That he would destroy all thy enemies before thee, as he hath spoken.

And said: The Lord hath delivered all this land into our hands, and all the inhabitants thereof are overthrown with fear.

Perhaps you dwell in the land which falls to our lot: if so, we can make no league with you.

Of all that dwell in the mountains from Libanus, to the waters of Maserephoth, and all the Sidonians. I am he that will cut them off from before the face of the children of Israel. So let their land come in as a part of the inheritance of Israel, as I have commanded thee.

And he exercised authority over all the kings from the river Euphrates to the land of the Philistines, and to the borders of Egypt.
