Thou shalt not adore them, nor serve them. I am the Lord thy God, mighty, jealous, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me:

Destroy all the inhabitants of that land. Beat down their pillars, and break in pieces their statues, and waste all their high places,

Overthrow their altars, and break down their statues: burn their groves with fire, and break their idols in pieces. Destroy their names out of those places.

But thus rather shall you deal with them: Destroy their altars, and break their statues, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven things.

So Manasses seduced Juda, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to do evil beyond all the nations which the Lord had destroyed before the face of the children of Israel.

You shall not do according to the custom of the land of Egypt, in which you dwelt: neither shall you act according to the manner of the country of Chanaan, into which I will bring you. Nor shall you walk in their ordinances.

And he did evil before the Lord, according to all the abominations of the nations, which the Lord cast out before the children of Israel:

Keep all things that I have said to you. And by the name of strange gods you shall not swear, neither shall it be heard out of your mouth.

Thou shalt not enter into league with them, nor with their gods.

Let them not dwell in thy land, lest perhaps thy make thee sin against me, if thou serve their gods: which undoubtedly will be a scandal to thee.

I am the Lord your God. You shall not make to yourselves any idol or graven thin: neither shall you erect pillars, nor set up a remarkable stone in your land, to adore it. For I am the Lord your God.

And he did evil before the Lord, but not like his father and his mother: for he took away the statues of Baal, which his father had made.

He destroyed the high places, and broke the statues in pieces, and cut down the groves, and broke the brazen serpent, which Moses had made. For till that time the children of Israel burnt incense to it: and he called its name Nohestan.

Thou shalt not have strange gods before me.

Who called them to their sacrifices: And they ate of them, and adored their gods.

And they walked according to the way of the nations which the Lord had destroyed in the sight of the children of Israel and of the kings of Israel; because they had done in like manner.

And they burnt incense there upon altars after the manner of the nations which the Lord had removed from their face. And they did wicked things, provoking the Lord.

And Asa did that which was good and pleasing in the sight of his God: and he destroyed the altars of foreign worship, and the high places.

But Amasias, after he had slain the Edomites, set up the gods of the children of Seir, which he had brought thence, to be his gods: and adored them, and burnt incense to them.

Their heart is divided: now they shall perish: he shall break down their idols, he shall destroy their altars.
