And I said: Ah, ah, ah, O Lord God, behold, my soul hath not been defiled, and from my infancy even till now, I have not eaten any thing that died of itself or was torn by beasts, and no unclean flesh hath entered into my mouth.

Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel. And thou shalt say to them: Be ye holy, because I the Lord your God am holy.

But that we write unto them, that they refrain themselves from the pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.

But Peter said: Far be it from me; for I never did eat any thing that is common and unclean.

Therefore do you also separate the clean beast from the unclean, and the clean fowl from the unclean. Defile not your souls with beasts, or birds, or any things that move on the earth, and which I have shewn you to be unclean.

The fat of a carcass that hath died of itself, and of a beast that was caught by another beast, you shall have for divers uses.

For they have taken of their daughters for themselves and for their sons; and they have mingled the holy seed with the people of the lands. And the hand of the princes and magistrates hath been first in this transgression.
