A blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you this day.

But if any man say: This has been sacrificed to idols, do not eat of it for his sake that told it, and for conscience' sake.

But whatsoever is dead of itself eat not thereof. Give it to the stranger, that is within thy gates, to eat: or sell it to him: because thou art the holy people of the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid in the milk of his dam.

The portion of Jacob is not like these: for it is he who formed all things and Israel is the rod of his inheritance. The Lord of hosts is his name.

My vineyard is before me. A thousand are for thee, the peaceable, and two hundred for them that keep the fruit thereof.

But you are a chosen generation, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a purchased people: that you may declare his virtues, who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

Again God said to Abraham: And thou therefore shalt keep my covenant, and thy seed after thee in their generations.

And I will take you to myself for my people. I will be your God: and you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from the work prison of the Egyptians.

And I will make the land of Gessen wherein my people is, wonderful in that day, so that flies shall not be there: and thou shalt know that I am the Lord in the midst of the earth.

The Lord will raise thee up to be a holy people to himself. As he swore to thee: If thou keep the commandments of the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways.

And thou hast made thy people Israel to be thy own people for ever: and thou, O Lord, art become their God.

And I passed by thee and saw thee: and, behold, thy time was the time of lovers: and I spread my garment over thee and covered thy ignominy. And I swore to thee and I entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord God. And thou becamest mine.

You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore will I visit upon you all your iniquities.

Woe to you that are wealthy in Sion, and to you that have confidence in the mountain of Samaria: ye great men, heads of the people, that go in with state into the house of Israel.

Said: If I have found grace in thy sight, O Lord, I beseech thee, that thou wilt go with us, (for it is a stiffnecked people,) and take away our iniquities and sin, and possess us.

But to you I say: Possess their land which I will give you for an inheritance, a land flowing with milk and honey. I am the Lord your God, who have separated you from other people.

Who are thy people and thy inheritance, whom thou hast brought out by thy great strength, and in thy stretched-out arm.

And to make thee higher than all nations which he hath created, to his own praise, and name, and glory. That thou mayst be a holy people of the Lord thy God, as he hath spoken.

I will not spare him, nor his mighty words, and framed to make supplication.

For as the girdle sticketh close to the loins of a man, so have I brought close to me all of the house of Israel and all the house of Juda, saith the Lord: that they might be my people, and for a name, and for a praise, and for a glory. But they would not hear.
