And they said to Moses: Perhaps there were no graves in Egypt: therefore thou hast brought us to die in the wilderness. Why wouldst thou do this, to lead us out of Egypt?
These are murmurers, full of complaints, walking according to their own desires, and their mouth speaketh proud things, admiring persons for gain's sake.
Therefore I say to you, be not solicitous for your life, what you shall eat, nor for your body, what you shall put on. Is not the life more than the meat: and the body more than the raiment?
And speaking against God end Moses, they said: Why didst thou bring us out of Egypt, to die in the wilderness? There is no bread, nor have we any waters: our soul now loatheth this very light food.
And the Lord said to Moses: Carry back the rod of Aaron into the tabernacle of the testimony, that it may be kept there for a token of the rebellious children of Israel: and that their complaints may cease from me, lest they die.
And they said to them: The Lord see and judge, because you have made our savour to stink before Pharao and his servants; and you have given him a sword to kill us.
But yet all the men that have seen my majesty, and the signs that I have done in Egypt, and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now ten times, and have not obeyed my voice,
