Then Moses and the children of Israel sung this canticle to the Lord: and said: Let us sing to the Lord, for he is gloriously magnified: the horse and the rider he hath thrown into the sea.

And singing the canticle of Moses, the servant of God, and the canticle of the Lamb, saying: Great and wonderful are thy works, O Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, O King of ages.

And they sung a new canticle, saying: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to take the book, and to open the seals thereof; because thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God, in thy blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation.

So when they all sounded together, both with trumpets, and voice, and cymbals, and organs, and with divers kind of musical instruments, and lifted up their voice on high, the sound was heard afar off. So that when they began to praise the Lord, and to say: Give glory to the Lord for he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever, the house of God was filled with a cloud.

And the women sung as they played. And they said: Saul slew his thousands, and David his ten thousands.

Hear, O ye kings, give ear, ye princes: It is I, it is I, that will sing to the Lord. I will sing to the Lord the God of Israel.

And they sung as it were a new canticle, before the throne, and before the four living creatures, and the ancients; and no man could say the canticle, but those hundred forty-four thousand, who were purchased from the earth.
