For Pharao went in on horseback with his chariots and horsemen into the sea: and the Lord brought back upon them the waters of the sea. But the children of Israel walked on dry ground in the midst thereof.
But the children of Israel marched through the midst of the sea upon dry land: and the waters were to them as a wall on the right hand and on the left.
And thou didst divide the sea before them, and they passed through the midst of the sea on dry land: but their persecutors thou threwest into the depth, as a stone into mighty waters.
And departing from Phihahiroth, they passed through the midst of the sea into the wilderness. And having marched three days through the desert of Etham, they camped in Mara.

And Elias took his mantle, and folded it together, and struck the waters: and they were divided hither and thither. And they both passed over on dry ground.
The waters that came down from above stood in one place, and swelling up like a mountain, were seen afar off from the city that is called Adom, to the place of Sarthan: but those that were beneath ran down into the sea of the wilderness (which now is called the Dead Sea) until they wholly failed.
And he struck the waters with the mantle of Elias, that had fallen from him, and they were not divided. And he said: Where is now the God of Elias? And he struck the waters, and they were divided, hither and thither: and Eliseus passed over.
And the Lord shall lay waste the tongue of the sea of Egypt and shall lift up his hand over the river in the strength of his spirit: and he shall strike it in the seven streams, so that men may pass through it in their shoes.
And there shall be a highway for the remnant of my people, which shall be left from the Assyrians: as there was for Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.
