And when Moses had stretched forth his hand over the sea, the Lord took it away by a strong and burning wind blowing all the night; and turned it into dry ground: and the water was divided.

He that brought out Moses by the right hand, by the arm of his majesty: that divided the waters before them, to make himself an everlasting name.

And with the blast of thy anger the waters were gathered together. The flowing water stood: the depths were gathered together in the midst of the sea.

Let the people, O God, confess to thee: let all the people give praise to thee:

Hast not thou dried up the sea, the water of the mighty deep: who madest the depth of the sea a way, that the delivered might pass over?

The Lord also said to Moses: Say to Aaron: Take thy rod, and stretch forth thy hand upon the waters of Egypt, and upon their rivers, and streams and pools, and all the ponds of waters, that they may be turned into blood. And let blood be in all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and of stone.

Stood behind, between the Egyptians' camp and the camp of Israel. And it was a dark cloud, and enlightening the night, so that they could not come at one another all the night.

We have heard that the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea at your going in, when you came out of Egypt: and what things you did to the two kings of the Amorrhites, that were beyond the Jordan: Sehon and Og whom you slew.

And the people marched over against Jericho: and the priests, that carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, stood girded upon the dry ground in the midst of the Jordan. And all the people passed over through the channel that was dried up.

And Elias took his mantle, and folded it together, and struck the waters: and they were divided hither and thither. And they both passed over on dry ground.

He stretched out his hand over the sea: he troubled kingdoms. The Lord hath given a charge against Chanaan, to destroy the strong ones thereof.

Thus saith the Lord, who made a way in the sea and a path in the mighty waters:

Because I came, and there was not a man: I called, and there was none that would hear. Is my hand shortened and become little, that I cannot redeem? Or is there no strength in me to deliver? Behold, at my rebuke I will make the sea a desert, I will turn the rivers into dry land: the fishes shall rot for want of water and shall die for thirst.

He that led them out through the deep, as a horse in the wilderness that stumbleth not:

Wast thou angry, O Lord, with the rivers? or was thy wrath upon the rivers? or thy indignation in the sea? Who will ride upon thy horses: and thy chariots are salvation.

By what way is the light spread, and heat divided upon the earth?

Fire, hail, snow, ice, stormy winds which fulfil his word:

Who say to the deep: Be thou desolate, and I will dry up thy rivers.
