Speak to the children of Israel: Let them turn and encamp over against Phihahiroth, which is between Magdal and the sea, over against Beelsephon. You shall encamp before it upon the sea.

The word that came to Jeremias, concerning all the Jews that dwelt in the land of Egypt, dwelling in Magdal and in Taphnis and in Memphis and in the land of Phatures, saying:

Declare ye to Egypt and publish it in Magdal, and let it be known in Memphis and in Taphnis. Say ye: Stand up, and prepare thyself: for the sword shall devour all round about thee.

And when the Egyptians followed the steps of them who were gone before, they found them encamped at the sea-side. All Pharao's horse and chariots, and the whole army were in Phihahiroth before Beelsephon.

Therefore, behold I come against thee, and thy rivers: and I will make the land of Egypt utterly desolate, and wasted by the sword, from the tower of Syene, even to the borders of Ethiopia.

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

And Pharao will say of the children of Israel: They are straitened in the land; the desert hath shut them in.

And I brought you and your fathers out of Egypt: and you came to the sea: and the Egyptians pursued your fathers with chariots and horsemen, as far as the Red Sea.
