That which the palmerworm hath left, the locust hath eaten: and that which the locust hath left, the bruchus hath eaten: and that which the bruchus hath left, the mildew hath destroyed.

But the wheat, and other winter corn were not hurt: because they were lateward.

And I will restore to you the ears which the locust, and the bruchus, and the mildew, and the palmerworm have eaten; my great host which I sent upon you.

But if thou resist, and wilt not let them go: Behold I will bring in tomorrow the locust into thy coasts:

And the Lord said to Moses: Stretch forth thy hand upon the land of Egypt, unto the locust, that it come upon it, and devour every herb that is left after the hail.

And they covered the whole face of the earth, wasting all things. And the grass of the earth was devoured, and what fruits soever were on the trees, which the hail had left. And there remained not any thing that was green on the trees, or in the herbs of the earth in all Egypt.

Before the face thereof a devouring fire, and behind it a burning flame: the land is like a garden of pleasure before it, and behind it a desolate wilderness, neither is there any one that can escape it.
