He put on justice as a breastplate, and a helmet of salvation upon his head: he put on the garments of vengeance and was clad with zeal as with a cloak.

But let us, who are of the day, be sober, having on the breastplate of faith and charity, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.

And justice shall be the girdle of his loins: and faith the girdle of his reins.

Let your loins be girt, and lamps burning in your hands.

Wherefore having the loins of your mind girt up, being sober, trust perfectly in the grace which is offered you in the revelation of Jesus Christ,

In the word of truth, in the power of God; by the armour of justice on the right hand and on the left;

For the fruit of the light is in all goodness, and justice, and truth;

And thus I saw the horses in the vision: and they that sat on them, had breastplates of fire and of hyacinth and of brimstone, and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions: and from their mouths proceeded fire, and smoke, and brimstone.

And they had breastplates as breastplates of iron, and the noise of their wings was as the noise of chariots and many horses running to battle.

I was clad with justice: and I clothed myself with my judgment, as with a robe and a diadem.

The night is passed, and the day is at hand. Let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and put on the armour of light.

Therefore take unto you the armour of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and to stand in all things perfect.

And all the Moabites, hearing that the kings were come up to fight against them, gathered together all that were girded with a belt upon them, and stood in the borders.
