Ye husbands, likewise dwelling with them according to knowledge, giving honour to the female as to the weaker vessel, and as to the co-heirs of the grace of life: that your prayers be not hindered.

Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter towards them.

So also ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife, loveth himself.

Wherefore a man shall leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they shall be two in one flesh.

Nevertheless let every one of you in particular love his wife as himself: and let the wife fear her husband.

And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath delivered himself for us, an oblation and a sacrifice to God for an odour of sweetness.

Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present wicked world, according to the will of God and our Father:

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth, who hath loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

And I live, now not I; but Christ liveth in me. And that I live now in the flesh: I live in the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and delivered himself for me.

And they sung a new canticle, saying: Thou art worthy, O Lord, to take the book, and to open the seals thereof; because thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God, in thy blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation.

Who brought her into the tent of Sara his mother, and took her to wife. And he loved her so much, that it moderated the sorrow which was occasioned by his mother's death.

Even as the Son of man is not come to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a redemption for many.

Take heed to yourselves, and to the whole flock, wherein the Holy Ghost hath placed you bishops, to rule the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

I am the living bread which came down from heaven.

But the poor man had nothing at all but one little ewe lamb, which he had bought and nourished up, and which had grown up in his house together with his children, eating of his bread, and drinking of his cup, and sleeping in his bosom: and it was unto him as a daughter.

Who gave himself a redemption for all, a testimony in due times.

Therefore as the church is subject to Christ, so also let the wives be to their husbands in all things.

While the king was at his repose, my spikenard sent forth the odour thereof.
