Ecclesiastes 2:26

God hath given to a man that is good in his sight, wisdom, and knowledge, and joy: but to the sinner he hath given vexation, and superfluous care, to heap up and to gather together, and to give it to him that hath pleased God: but this also is vanity, and a fruitless solicitude of the mind.

The good man leaveth heirs, sons, and grandsons: and the substance of the sinner is kept for the just.

He that heapeth together riches by usury and loan, gathereth them for him that will be bountiful to the poor.

Hitherto you have not asked any thing in my name. Ask, and you shall receive; that your joy may be full.

But the wisdom, that is from above, first indeed is chaste, then peaceable, modest, easy to be persuaded, consenting to the good, full of mercy and good fruits, without judging, without dissimulation.

And they were both just before God, walking in all the commandments and justifications of the Lord without blame.

But, as I see, there is a spirit in men, and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth understanding.

Who hath put wisdom in the heart of man? Or who gave the cock understanding?

Thou hast multiplied thy wonderful works, O Lord my God: and in thy thoughts there is no one like to thee. I have declared and I have spoken they are multiplied above number.

Thou hast loved all the words of ruin, O deceitful tongue.

Because the Lord giveth wisdom: and out of his mouth cometh prudence and knowledge.

And I proposed in my mind to seek and search out wisely concerning all things that are done under the sun. This painful occupation hath God given to the children of men, to be exercised therein.

Who shall so feast and abound with delights as I?

I have seen the trouble, which God hath given the sons of men to be exercised in it.
