Their graven things thou shalt burn with fire. Thou shalt not covet the silver and gold of which they are made: neither shalt thou take to thee any thing thereof, lest thou offend, because it is an abomination to the Lord thy God.

And they left there their gods; and David commanded that they should be burnt.

Thou shalt not sacrifice to the Lord thy God a sheep, or an ox, wherein there is blemish, or any fault: for that is an abomination to the Lord thy God.

But the children of Israel transgressed the commandment, and took to their own use of the anathema. For Achan the son of Charmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zare of the tribe of Juda, took something of the anathema. And the Lord was angry against the children of Israel.

Thou shalt not offer the hire of a strumpet, nor the price of a dog, in the house of the Lord thy God, whatsoever it be that thou hast vowed: because both these are an abomination to the Lord thy God.

But thus rather shall you deal with them: Destroy their altars, and break their statues, and cut down their groves, and burn their graven things.

And on her forehead a name was written: A mystery; Babylon the great, the mother of the fornications, and the abominations of the earth.

I will gather man, and beast, I will gather the birds of the air, and the fishes of the sea: and the ungodly shall meet with ruin: and I will destroy men from off the face of the land, saith the Lord.

Thou shalt consume all the people, which the Lord thy God will deliver to thee. Thy eye shall not spare them: neither shalt thou serve their gods, lest they be thy ruin.

And Moses said: It cannot be so: for we shall sacrifice the abominations of the Egyptians to the Lord our God. Now if we kill those things which the Egyptians worship, in their presence, they will stone us.

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house: neither shalt thou desire his wife, nor his servant, nor his handmaid, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is his.

And all the household goods that are there, thou shalt gather together in the midst of the streets thereof, and shalt burn them with the city itself, so as to consume all for the Lord thy God, and that it be a heap for ever. It shall be built no more.

And he broke in pieces the statues, and cut down the groves: and he filled their places with the bones of dead men.

And therefore it shall be burnt with fire.

Turn ye not to idols: nor make to yourselves molten gods. I am the Lord your God.

Cursed be the man that maketh a graven and molten thing, the abomination of the Lord, the work of the hands of artificers, and shall put it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say: Amen.

Behold, you are of nothing, and your work of that which hath no being: he that hath chosen you is an abomination.
