And hearing these things we were affrighted, and our heart fainted away: neither did there remain any spirit in us at your coming in. For the Lord your God he is God in heaven above, and in the earth beneath.
And said: O Lord God of our fathers, thou art God in heaven, and rulest over all the kingdoms and nations. In thy hand is strength and power, and no one can resist thee.
Thine, O Lord, is magnificence, and power, and glory, and victory: and to thee is praise. For all that is in heaven, and in earth, is thine. Thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art above all princes.
And thou, my son Solomon, know the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart, and a willing mind. For the Lord searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the thoughts of minds. If thou seek him, thou shalt find him: but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

The harp and the lyre and the timbrel and the pipe and wine are in your feasts: and the work of the Lord you regard not, nor do you consider the works of his hands.
And thou shalt know that the Lord thy God, he is a strong and faithful God, keeping his covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments, unto a thousand generations:
Fear ye not, neither be ye troubled. From that time I have made thee to hear, and have declared: you are my witnesses. Is there a God besides me, a maker whom I have not known?
Therefore thou art magnified, O Lord God, because there is none like to thee: neither is there any God besides thee, in all the things that we have heard with our ears.
You are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that you may know and believe me, and understand that I myself am. Before me there was no God formed: and after me there shall be none.
