Deuteronomy 4:19Douay-Rheims version of The Bible - 1752 versionLest perhaps lifting up thy eyes to heaven thou see the sun and the moon, and all the stars of heaven, and being deceived by error thou adore and serve them, which the Lord thy God created for the service of all the nations, that are under heaven. See the chapter |
And they shall spread them abroad to the sun and the moon and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved and whom they have served and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought and adored. They shall not be gathered, and they shall not be buried: they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth.
And he brought me into the inner court of the house of the Lord: and, behold, at the door of the temple of the Lord between the porch and the altar, were about five and twenty men having their backs towards the temple of the Lord and their faces to the east: and they adored towards the rising of the sun.
And that prophet or forger of dreams shall be slain: because he spoke to draw you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you from the house of bondage: to make thee go out of the way, which the Lord thy God commanded thee. And thou shalt take away the evil out of the midst of thee.
