Then shalt thou be delighted in the Lord, and I will lift thee up above the high places of the earth and will feed thee with the inheritance of Jacob thy father. For the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.

When I washed my feet with butter: and the rock poured me out rivers of oil?

Thus saith the Lord God: Because the enemy hath said of you: Aha, the everlasting heights are given to us for an inheritance.

Blessed are thou, Israel: Who is like to thee, O people, that art saved by the Lord? The shield of thy help, and the sword of thy glory. Thy enemies shall deny thee, and thou shalt tread upon their necks.

There is no other God like the God of the rightest: he that is mounted upon the heaven is thy helper. By his magnificence the clouds run hither and thither.

They thirsted not in the desert when he led them out. He brought forth water out of the rock for them: and he clove the rock, and the waters gushed out.

And I will clap my hands together and will satisfy my indignation: I, the Lord have spoken.

A land of wheat, and barley, and vineyards, wherein fig-trees and pomegranates, and oliveyards grow: a land of oil and honey.

And was thy leader in the great and terrible wilderness, wherein there was the serpent burning with his breath, and the scorpion and the dipsas, and no waters at all. Who brought forth streams out of the hardest rock:

Making my feet like the feet of harts, and setting me upon my high places.

(Let him not see the streams of the river, the brooks of honey and of butter.)

According to their pastures they were filled, and were made full: and they lifted up their heart, and have forgotten me.

Because thou didst not serve the Lord thy God with joy and gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things:

And thou wast adorned with gold and silver, and wast clothed with fine linen and embroidered work and many colours: thou didst eat fine flour and honey and oil: and wast made exceeding beautiful and wast advanced to be a queen.
