Deuteronomy 31:11

When all Israel come together, to appear in the sight of the Lord thy God in the place which the Lord shall choose, thou shalt read the words of this law before all Israel, in their hearing.

And the king went up to the temple of the Lord, and all the men of Juda, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, the priests and the prophets, and all the people both little and great. And in the hearing of them all he read all the words of the book of the covenant, which was found in the house of the Lord.

But you shall come to the place, which the Lord your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, and to dwell in it.

For when I shall have taken away the nations from thy face, and shall have enlarged thy borders, no man shall lie in wait against thy land when thou shalt go up and appear in the sight of the Lord thy God, thrice in a year.

For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him in the synagogues, where he is read every sabbath.

And after the reading of the law and the prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying: Ye men, brethren, if you have any word of exhortation to make to the people, speak.

Thou wilt turn, O God, and bring us to life: and thy people shall rejoice in thee.

And they rose up to stand: and they read in the book of the law of the Lord their God, four times in the day. And four times they confessed, and adored the Lord their God.

And on the second day the chiefs of the families of all the people, the priests, and the Levites were gathered together to Esdras the scribe, that he should interpret to them the words of the law.

And he read in the book of the law of God day by day, from the first day till the last. And they kept the solemnity seven days, and in the eighth day a solemn assembly according to the manner.

In the place, which the Lord your God shall choose, that his name may be therein. Thither shall you bring all the things that I command you: holocausts, and victims, and tithes, and the first-fruits of your hands, and whatsoever is the choicest in the gifts which you shall vow to the Lord.

But in the place which the Lord shall choose in one of thy tribes shalt thou offer sacrifices, and shalt do all that I command thee.

And the ceremonies, and judgments, and law, and the commandment, which he wrote for you, you shall observe to do them always: and you shall not fear strange gods.
