I commanded Josue also at that time, saying: Thy eyes have seen what the Lord your God hath done to these two kings. So will he do to all the kingdoms to which thou shalt pass.

Now to him who is able to do all things more abundantly than we desire or understand, according to the power that worketh in us;

For which cause I please myself in my infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ. For when I am weak, then am I powerful.

Who hath delivered and doth deliver us out of so great dangers: in whom we trust that he will yet also deliver us.

And the Lord is become a refuge for the poor: a helper in due time in tribulation.

He said again to them: Fear not: neither be ye dismayed. Take courage and be strong. For so will the Lord do to all your enemies, against whom you fight.

Until the Lord give rest to your brethren, as he hath given to you: and they also possess the land, which he will give them beyond the Jordan. Then shall every man return to his possession, which I have given you.

Fear them not: for the Lord your God will fight for you.

The exceeding great plagues, which thy eyes saw, and the signs and wonders, and the strong hand, and the stretched-out arm, with which the Lord thy God brought thee out. So will he do to all the people, whom thou fearest.
