But according to thy hardness and impenitent heart, thou treasurest up to thyself wrath, against the day of wrath, and revelation of the just judgment of God.

And they shall comfort you, when you shall see their ways and their doings: and you shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord God.

Lamed. The kings of the earth and all the inhabitants of the world would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy should enter in by the gates of Jerusalem.

And the general of the army, taking Jeremias, said to him: The Lord thy God hath pronounced this evil upon this place.

And I will destroy your land: and your enemies shall be astonished at it, when they shall be the inhabitants thereof.

And they rejected his ordinances and the covenant that he made with their fathers, and the testimonies which he testified against them. And they followed vanities, and acted vainly. And they followed the nations that were round about them, concerning which the Lord had commanded them that they should not do as they did.

Because they hearkened not to the voice of the Lord their God, but transgressed his covenant. All that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded, they would not hear nor do.

Not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers, in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt: the covenant which they made void, and I had dominion over them, saith the Lord.

For thus saith the Lord God: I will deal with thee as thou hast despised the oath, in breaking the covenant:
