The Lord shall scatter thee among all people, from the farthest parts of the earth to the ends thereof. And there thou shalt serve strange gods, which both thou art ignorant of and thy fathers, wood and stone.

And I will scatter you among the Gentiles: and I will draw out the sword after you. And your land shall be desert, and your cities destroyed.

So I will cast you forth out of this land, into a land which you know not, nor you fathers: and there you shall serve strange gods, day and night, which shall not give you any rest.

Remember the word that thou commandedst to Moses thy servant, saying: If you shall transgress, I will scatter you abroad among the nations:

The Lord shall bring thee, and thy king, whom thou shalt have appointed over thee, into a nation which thou and thy fathers know not: and there thou shalt serve strange gods, wood and stone.

And they have served strange gods, and adored them, whom they knew not, and for whom they had not been assigned.

Now when all these things shall be come upon thee, the blessing or the curse, which I have set forth before thee: and thou shalt be touched with repentance of thy heart among all the nations, into which the Lord thy God shall have scattered thee:

They sacrificed to devils and not to God: to gods whom they knew not: that were newly come up, whom their fathers worshipped not.

I said: Where are they? I will make the memory of them to cease from among men.

And in the ninth year of Osee, the king of the Assyrians took Samaria, and carried Israel away to Assyria. And he placed them in Hala and Habor by the river of Gozan, in the cities of the Medes.

And the king of Babylon smote them, and slew them at Reblatha in the land of Emath. So Juda was carried away out of their land.

Hearken, O daughter, and see, and incline thy ear: and forget thy people and thy father's house.

And the Lord shall remove men far away: and she shall be multiplied that was left in the midst of the earth.

And I will scatter them among the nations which they and their fathers have not known: and I will send the sword after them till they be consumed.

And I will bring thy enemies out of a land which thou knowest not, for a fire is kindled in my rage: it shall burn upon you.

Ghimel. Juda hath removed her dwelling-place because of her affliction and the greatness of her bondage: she hath dwelt among the nations and she hath found no rest: all her persecutors have taken her in the midst of straits.

Again I lifted up my hand upon them in the wilderness, to disperse them among the nations and scatter them through the countries:

And I scattered them among the nations, and they are dispersed through the countries: I have judged them according to their ways, and their devices.

And I dispersed them throughout all kingdoms, which they know not: and the land was left desolate behind them, so that no man passed through or returned: and they changed the delightful land into a wilderness.

Consent not to him, hear him not: neither let thy eye spare him to pity and conceal him.

For behold I will command, and I will sift the house of Israel among all nations, as corn is sifted in a sieve: and there shall not a little stone fall to the ground.

Sing praise, and rejoice, O daughter of Sion: for behold I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee: saith the Lord.
