Thou hast chosen the Lord this day to be thy God, and to walk in his ways and keep his ceremonies, and precepts, and judgments, and obey his command.

Behold, God is my saviour: I will deal confidently, and will not fear, because the Lord is my strength and my praise, and he is become my salvation.

And taking the book of the covenant, he read it in the hearing of the people: and they said: All things that the Lord hath spoken we will do. We will be obedient.

And not as we hoped, but they gave their own selves first to the Lord, then to us by the will of God:

Neither yield ye your members as instruments of iniquity unto sin; but present yourselves to God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of justice unto God.

For an angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, stood by me this night,

One shall say: I am the Lord's: and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob: and another shall subscribe with his hand, To the Lord, and surname himself by the name of Israel.

Yet so that you observe attentively, and in work fulfil the commandment and the law which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you. That you love the Lord your God, and walk in all his ways, and keep all his commandments, and cleave to him, and serve him with all your heart, and with all your soul.

That thou mayst love the Lord thy God, and walk in his ways, and keep his commandments and ceremonies and judgments: and thou mayst live, and he may multiply thee, and bless thee in the land, which thou shalt go in to possess.

Yet so, if thou hear the voice of the Lord thy God, and keep all things that he hath ordained, and which I command thee this day, he will bless thee, as he hath promised.

When thou shalt hear the voice of the Lord thy God, keeping all his precepts, which I command thee this day, that thou mayst do what is pleasing in the sight of the Lord thy God.

Saying to Moses: Speak thou to us, and we will hear. Let not the Lord speak to us, lest we die.

And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined: and I will try them as gold is tried. They shall call on my name, and I will hear them. I will say: Thou art my people: and they shall say: The Lord is my God.

And standing up in his tribunal, he made a covenant before the Lord to walk after him, and keep his commandments, and testimonies, and justifications, with all his heart, and with all his soul, and to do the things that were written in that book which he had read.

The Lord is my strength and my praise: and he is become salvation to me. He is my God and I will glorify him: the God of my father, and I will exalt him.

And I shall return prosperously to my father's house: the Lord shall be my God:

And all the people answered together: All that the Lord hath spoken, we will do. And when Moses had related the people's words to the Lord,

Thou shalt hear his voice, and do the commandments and justices which I command thee.

That thou mayst pass in the covenant of the Lord thy God, and in the oath which this day the Lord thy God maketh with thee.

And Josue said to the people: You are witnesses, that you yourselves have chosen you the Lord to serve him. And they answered: We are witnesses.
