In those days also I saw Jews that married wives: women of Azotus, and of Ammon, and of Moab.

And it came to pass, when Sanaballat, and Tobias, and the Arabians, and the Ammonites, and the Azotians heard that the walls of Jerusalem were made up, and the breaches began to be closed, that they were exceedingly angry.

Tobias also the Ammonite who was by him said: Let them build; if a fox go up, he will leap over their stone wall.

He answered: I yield up my right of next akin; for I must not cut off the posterity of my own family. Do thou make use of my privilege, which I profess I do willingly forego.

And let not the son of the stranger, that adhereth to the Lord, speak, saying: The Lord will divide and separate me from his people. And let not the eunuch say: Behold, I am a dry tree.

You have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thy enemy.

A mamzer, that is to say, one born of a prostitute, shall not enter into the church of the Lord, until the tenth generation.

Against the children of Ammon. Thus saith the Lord: Hath Israel no sons? Or hath he no heir? Why then hath Melchom inherited Gad, and his people dwelt in his cities?

Jod. The enemy hath put out his hand to all her desirable things: for she hath seen the Gentiles enter into her sanctuary, of whom thou gavest commandment that they should not enter into thy church.
