Deuteronomy 23:21

When thou hast made a vow to the Lord thy God, thou shalt not delay to pay it: because the Lord thy God will require it. And if thou delay, it shall be imputed to thee for a sin.

Jonathan therefore made a covenant with the house of David: and the Lord required it at the hands of David's enemies.

Thou shalt pray to him, and he will hear thee: and thou shalt pay vows.

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and strengthen me with a perfect spirit.

The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup: it is thou that wilt restore my inheritance to me.

Hath not lent upon usury, nor taken any increase: hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity and hath executed true judgment between man and man:
