And to the tribes of Ruben and Gad I gave of the land of Galaad as far as the torrent Arnon: half the torrent; and the confines even unto the torrent Jeboc, which is the border of the children of Ammon:

And he was slain by them with the edge of the sword: and they possessed his land from the Arnon unto the Jeboc, and to the confines of the children of Ammon. For the borders of the Ammonites were kept with a strong garrison.

And rising early he took his two wives, and his two handmaids, with his eleven sons, and passed over the ford of Jaboc.

And the Lord said to me: Fight not against the Moabites, neither go to battle against them. For I will not give thee any of their land, because I have given Ar to the children of Lot in possession.

Take ye then good heed that you stir not against them. For I will not give you of their land so much as the step of one foot can tread upon, because I have given mount Seir to Esau, for a possession.

And all the coasts thereof from the Arnon to the Jaboc, and from the wilderness to the Jordan.
