And they shall be no more for a spoil to the nations, neither shall the beasts of the earth devour them: but they shall dwell securely without any terror.

The voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say: Give ye glory to the Lord of hosts, for the Lord is good, for his mercy endureth for ever. And they shall dwell therein secure, and they shall build houses, and shall plant vineyards, and shall dwell with confidence, when I shall have executed judgments upon all that are their enemies round about: and they shall know that I am the Lord their God.

Behold, I will gather them together out of all the lands to which I have cast them out in my anger and in my wrath and in my great indignation: and I will bring them again into this place and will cause them to dwell securely.

In those days shall Juda be saved and Israel shall dwell confidently: and this is the name that they shall call him: The Lord, Our Just One.

But he that shall hear me, shall rest without terror, and shall enjoy abundance, without fear of evils.

By the fruit of their corn, their wine and oil, they are multiplied.

And Juda and Israel dwelt without any fear, every one under his vine, and under his fig tree, from Dan to Bersabee, all the days of Solomon.

Hear, O Israel: Thou shalt go over the Jordan this day, to possess nations very great, and stronger than thyself, cities great, and walled up to the sky:

And the Lord said: My face shall go before thee, and I will give thee rest.

So Josue took all the land, as the Lord spoke to Moses, and delivered it in possession to the children of Israel, according to their divisions and tribes. And the land rested from wars.

Blessed be the Lord, who hath given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised. There hath not failed so much as one word of all the good things that he promised by his servant Moses.

This is what the children of Israel possessed in the land of Chanaan, which Eleazar the priest, and Josue the son of Nun, and the princes of the families by the tribes of Israel gave to them:

Saying: You see, that the Lord your God is with you, and hath given you rest round about, and hath delivered all your enemies into your hands; and the land is subdued before the Lord, and before his people.

And thou shalt say: I will go up to the land which is without a wall, I will come to them that are at rest, and dwell securely: all these dwell without a wall, they have no bars nor gates:
