For the land, which thou goest to possess, is not like the land of Egypt, from whence thou camest out: where, when the seed is sown, waters are brought in to water it after the manner of gardens.

And if the family of Egypt go not up nor come: neither shall it be upon them, but there shall be destruction wherewith the Lord will strike all nations that will not go up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

And may live in it a long time. Which the Lord promised by oath to your fathers, and to their seed: a land which floweth with milk and honey.

But it is a land of hills and plains, expecting rain from heaven.

I have digged, and drunk water: and have dried up with the sole of my foot all the rivers shut up in banks.

And I brought you into the land of Carmel, to eat the fruit thereof and the best things thereof: and when ye entered in, you defiled my land and made my inheritance an abomination.

For the Lord thy God will bring thee into a good land, of brooks and of waters, and of fountains: in the plains of which and the hills deep rivers break out:

And its watery places shall be dry: all they shall mourn that made pools to take fishes.
