For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to resist and gainsay.

And my speech and my preaching was not in the persuasive words of human wisdom, but in shewing of the Spirit and power;

The ministers answered: Never did man speak like this man.

But, as I see, there is a spirit in men, and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth understanding.

Go therefore, and I will be in thy mouth: and I will teach thee what thou shalt speak.

But yet I am filled with the strength of the spirit of the Lord, with judgment, and power: to declare unto Jacob his wickedness, and to Israel his sin.

And I will make thee to this people as a strong wall of brass: and they shall fight against thee and shall not prevail. For I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the Lord.

No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper: and every tongue that resisteth thee in judgment, thou shalt condemn. This is the inheritance of the servants of the Lord and their justice with me, saith the Lord.

Now there arose some of that which is called the synagogue of the Libertines, and of the Cyrenians, and of the Alexandrians, and of them that were of Cilicia and Asia, disputing with Stephen.

Then they suborned men to say, they had heard him speak words of blasphemy against Moses and against God.
