And when these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying: After I have been there, I must see Rome also.

And now, behold, being bound in the spirit, I go to Jerusalem: not knowing the things which shall befall me there:

For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, lest he should be stayed any time in Asia. For he hasted, if it were possible for him, to keep the day of Pentecost at Jerusalem.

And the night following the Lord standing by him, said: Be constant; for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.

And I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that I have often purposed to come unto you, (and have been hindered hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.

But taking his leave, and saying: I will return to you again, God willing, he departed from Ephesus.

So that you were made a pattern to all that believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.

Then, after fourteen years, I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus also with me.

Now I will come to you, when I shall have passed through Macedonia. For I shall pass through Macedonia.

So (as much as is in me) I am ready to preach the gospel to you also that are at Rome.

And when we were come to Rome, Paul was suffered to dwell by himself, with a soldier that kept him.

Saying: Fear not, Paul, thou must be brought before Caesar; and behold, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.

AND when it was determined that he should sail into Italy, and that Paul, with the other prisoners, should be delivered to a centurion, named Julius, of the band Augusta,

And when we were come to Jerusalem, the brethren received us gladly.

And finding disciples, we tarried there seven days: who said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should not go up to Jerusalem.

But when Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews with one accord rose up against Paul, and brought him to the judgment seat,

Mem. Who is he that hath commanded a thing to be done, when the Lord commandeth it not?

And from thence to Philippi, which is the chief city of part of Macedonia, a colony. And we were in this city some days conferring together.

And sending into Macedonia two of them that ministered to him, Timothy and Erastus, he himself remained for a time in Asia.

And the whole city was filled with confusion; and having caught Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul's companions, they rushed with one accord into the theatre.

For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual grace, to strengthen you:

But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will: and will know, not the speech of them that are puffed up, but the power.

Yea, unto those places that are beyond you, to preach the gospel, not to glory in another man's rule, in those things that are made ready to our hand.
