And calling in the apostles, after they had scourged them, they charged them that they should not speak at all in the name of Jesus; and they dismissed them.

But they threatening, sent them away, not finding how they might punish them, because of the people; for all men glorified what had been done, in that which had come to pass.

Will not you then fear me? saith the Lord. And will you not repent at my presence? I have set the sand a bound for the sea, an everlasting ordinance which it shall not pass over. And the waves thereof shall toss themselves and shall not prevail: they shall swell, and shall not pass over it.

Or will God forget to shew mercy? or will he in his anger shut up his mercies?

And when they shall bring you into the synagogues, and to magistrates and powers, be not solicitous how or what you shall answer, or what you shall say;

And when he had brought them into his own house, he laid the table for them, and rejoiced with all his house, believing God.

And the keeper of the prison told these words to Paul: The magistrates have sent to let you go; now therefore depart, and go in peace.

And let us out themselves. And the serjeants told these words to the magistrates. And they were afraid, hearing that they were Romans.

And he commanded them, saying: Come ye up out of the Jordan.
