NOW there were in the church which was at Antioch, prophets and doctors, among whom was Barnabas, and Simon who was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manahen, who was the foster brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

And Paul and Barnabas continued at Antioch, teaching and preaching, with many others, the word of the Lord.

NOW in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and Philip his brother tetrarch of Iturea, and the country of Trachonitis, and Lysanias tetrarch of Abilina;

The brethren who are with me, salute you. All the saints salute you; especially they that are of Caesar's household.

And to his dissimulation the rest of the Jews consented, so that Barnabas also was led by them into that dissimulation.

Or I only and Barnabas, have not we power to do this?

Timothy, my fellow labourer, saluteth you, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen.

And he had four daughters, virgins, who did prophesy.

And when Paul had imposed his hands on them, the Holy Ghost came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.

Which also they did, sending it to the ancients, by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.

And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, having fulfilled their ministry, taking with them John, who was surnamed Mark.

AND Saul, as yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest,

And going out, they found a man of Cyrene, named Simon: him they forced to take up his cross.

Every man praying or prophesying with his head covered, disgraceth his head.

And if I should have prophecy and should know all mysteries, and all knowledge, and if I should have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

Charity never falleth away: whether prophecies shall be made void, or tongues shall cease, or knowledge shall be destroyed.

And let the prophets speak, two or three; and let the rest judge.

And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
