Who said to him: Lord, I am ready to go with thee, both into prison, and to death.

There are many thoughts in the heart of a man: but the will of the Lord shall stand firm.

The soldiers therefore, when they had crucified him, took his garments, (and they made four parts, to every soldier a part,) and also his coat. Now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.

Mem. Who is he that hath commanded a thing to be done, when the Lord commandeth it not?

And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt:

NOW the feast of the pasch, and of the Azymes was after two days; and the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might by some wile lay hold on him, and kill him.

And seeing that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to take up Peter also. Now it was in the days of the Azymes.

Peter therefore was kept in prison. But prayer was made without ceasing by the church unto God for him.
