And the Philistines were humbled, and they did not come any more into the borders of Israel. And the hand of the Lord was against the Philistines, all the days of Samuel.

And the Philistines heard that they had anointed David to be king over Israel. And they all came to seek David: and when David heard of it, he went down to a stronghold.

And David did as the Lord had commanded him: and he smote the Philistines from Gabaa until thou come to Gezer.

Hear, O God, my supplication: be attentive to my prayer,
